Oct 05, 2024 - FASSelangor FC is proud to announce an exciting new collaboration with Selangor Technical Development Centre (STDC), aimed at empowering youth players with technical and vocational skills that will benefit them beyond their football careers. This partnership reflects Selangor FC's commitment to fostering the holistic development of its players, ensuring they are equipped with valuable life skills for future success.
Through this collaboration, Selangor FC's youth, reserve, and first-team players will have the opportunity to enroll in specialized courses offered by STDC. These courses are designed to provide players with vocational training in various fields, allowing them to diversify their skill sets and prepare for career paths once their playing days are over.
STDC and Selangor FC share a unified vision in nurturing well-rounded individuals. As part of this initiative, STDC has agreed to contribute RM 10,000 towards commercial advertising, while both organizations are exploring additional ways to strengthen their partnership. The collaboration is underpinned by the shared belief that education and skills development are critical for long-term career sustainability.
The Chief Executive Officer of STDC, Tuan Ramali Bin Abu Bakar believes that this partnership shows that Selangor FC together with STDC is dedicated to helping youth gain diverse experiences, empowering them to make informed decisions about their lives after sports, "STDC and Selangor FC are dedicated to empowering young athletes by providing them with the essential knowledge and skills they need to thrive beyond their sports careers. Our commitment extends beyond athletic training; we aim to equip youth with tools for personal and professional growth, ensuring they have diverse career options when they transition from the sports arena. By fostering a comprehensive development approach, we prepare them for a successful future, no matter the path they choose." he said.
The Chairman of Selangor FC, His Royal Highness (DYTM) Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, made sure the club had more to offer for its advancement in the third key areas under his leadership, youth development, “Selangor FC are dedicated to enhancing youth development, which remains a top priority for us. In recent years, we have focused on identifying and implementing the best practices to nurture these young talents. We understand the significance of supporting young athletes in all aspects of their growth and development. Our partnership with STDC aims to empower these individuals by providing practical skills that open up diverse career opportunities for them. This initiative ensures their growth and success beyond the football field, equipping them for a brighter future.”
